Chaise longue sharp
Project type
design
The Sharp armchair features a frame constructed of 4x4 cm, 2 mm-thick, chromed stainless steel square tubes.
These metal profiles are welded together. The structure also includes L-shaped, 2x2 cm, 2 mm-thick chromed steel profiles that support the inclined seat. Crossed elastic straps are attached to these profiles, forming the seat.
The four cushions have removable covers and are padded with goose down, polyurethane foam inserts, and upholstered in synthetic leather in various colors.
The distinctive trapezoidal shape is dictated by the need to accommodate the specific positions of the back and arms normally assumed when sitting, attempting to combine them. To enhance ergonomics, the seat and backrest are inclined by 5° and 7°, respectively. To complement the Sharp armchair, a footrest was also designed that reflects the formal research, and is therefore also inclined
to promote correct posture of the knees. The cushion covers are available in four colors, and the frame in three.
